May 5 is the feast day of Blessed Edmund Rice, and has been celebrated since his beatification by Pope John Paul II in 1996. Q. What is the Crusader Day of Giving?
Brother Rice is boldly going where we haven't before. In celebration of the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice, we are asking YOU to be a part of Brother Rice's Crusader Day of Giving. This is the greatest participation challenge in the history of our school, and we want YOU to join the Crusade.
Q. Can I participate in the Crusader Day of Giving if I did not graduate from Brother Rice?
Yes! Students, parents, faculty/staff, and friends are encouraged to support Brother Rice on Crusader Day of Giving. When prompted in the giving form, you select the role you most closely affiliated with. The gifts of many come together to support the transformational Crusader experience for every student in a big way.
Q. What forms of donations are accepted?
MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express donations received through the website on the giving day will be matched from the bonus pool on a prorated basis. If you would like to make a gift by phone on May 5, 2020, please call (773) 429-4349. Checks can be sent to Brother Rice HIgh School.

Q. Where does my Day of Giving gift go?
Gifts to the Crusader Day of Giving will go directly to impacting our Crusader Fund. The Crusader Fund represents an investment in our students through direct financial aid and ensures our campus facilities, from technology to our building, are properly maintained. Brother Rice is a private, Catholic, self-supporting school. In addition to tuition, our school depends on generous benefactors to meet our annual operating budget.
Q. Will I receive a receipt for tax purposes?
Yes. You will automatically receive an emailed receipt of the transaction, as well as a mailed acknowledgement letter.
Q. Is my Crusader Day of Giving contribution tax deductible?
Yes, your gift is entirely tax deductible. You will receive an email confirmation that may serve as your receipt for tax purposes.
Q. Does it cost anything to give through the Crusader Day of Giving? How much of my donation will Brother Rice receive?
There is a 2.6% platform fee and a 2.5% (+ $.30) bank fee for donations made using all major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express). You have the option to cover these costs in addition to your gift. If you choose not to do so, the cost will be absorbed through the school’s administrative budget, leaving 100% of your gift to support students and to remain tax deductible.
Q. What if I already made a gift to Brother Rice this year?
